The Project<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The increasing demographic pressure and changes in global climate are among the major threats affecting aquatic biodiversity in Mediterranean coastal wetlands. The ERAHUMED<\/strong> proposes the development and implementation of a new set of tools and technologies to support the sustainable development of Mediterranean coastal wetlands, using the Albufera Natural Park (Valencia, Spain)<\/strong> as study area. The ERAHUMED provides a multidisciplinary approach to integrate novel methods for (1) the identification of vulnerable areas, (2) the monitoring and risk assessment of chemical pollution, (3) the characterization of the effects of key contaminants and climate change on aquatic communities, and (4) the quantification of impacts on freshwater biodiversity and the ecological services it provides.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
